2010 USCAP Society Forum Meeting: Cancer Staging, CAP Certificate Program,Case-Based Problems March 20, 2010 3:00 - 5:00: Thurgood East.

 

Starting in 2010, the final 30 minutes of the GIPS forum on Saturday at USCAP will be devoted to an open discussion on thematic cases.  These cases illustrate diagnostic problems in reporting and education, or practice related issues.  3 such cases will be open for discussion at this session.  They may be found at the following link:

GIPS Abstract Award:

GIPS 2010 Abstract Award Announcement 

All pathology residents/fellows who are presenting an abstract at the annual USCAP meeting in Washington DC in March 2010 are eligible to apply. The award comprises of a certificate from GIPS and a sum of $500.

Interested candidates should submit the following information: title of the study, poster or platform, abstract number, poster number, day and time of presentation (AM/PM for poster, exact time for platform presentation) and year of training (e.g., PGY3). This information should be sent to Dr. Matthew Yeh, Chair of Training Committee at the following address below via e-mail or regular mail by February 26, 2010.

 GIPS Travel Award:

 The Roger Haggitt Gastrointestinal Pathology Society (GIPS) would like to invite applications for the “GIPS Travel Award”. Each year, this award is given by GIPS to pathology residents who are interested in gastrointestinal pathology. The award comprises of free registration to selected GI courses and a sum of $500 to cover travel-related expenses. The courses currently offered are: 

1) Harvard Medical School: Gastrointestinal, Liver and Pancreatic Pathology, Boston, MA (May 10-13, 2010)
