Description: The Gastrointestinal and Liver Pathology Faculty Assistant Program at Johns Hopkins is a one-year non-ACGME fellowship providing advanced training in diagnostic gastrointestinal, liver, and pancreatic pathology. Fellows work with a broad spectrum of cases, including in-house specimens and those from our active consultation service. Faculty expertise covers gastrointestinal luminal pathology, liver pathology, and pancreatic pathology. Fellow responsibilities include independent sign-out of luminal gastrointestinal biopsies (with faculty support available), collaboration with faculty on complex consultation cases, participation in clinical conferences, and housestaff and medical student teaching. Fellows are encouraged to participate in research within our department.
Requirements: Three years of AP training or four years of AP/CP training are required. Applicants must have completed their AP training and be AP board eligible/certified by the July starting date. A Maryland medical license is required before the start date. Applicants must have a U.S. permanent resident visa or be a U.S. citizen.
