This one-year fellowship is designed to foster the fellow’s development into an independent GI & liver pathology expert by gaining the knowledge base, the professional attitudes, and the research and teaching skills necessary for a successful academic career. The fellow will rotate mainly at the MUHC Glen Site (Royal Victoria Hospital), which offers a wide array of routine and consult material with an annual volume of over 70,000 cases, and is integrated with the MUHC Core Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory, providing excellent molecular pathology and genetics exposure. Digital pathology and artificial intelligence applications are an important clinical and research focus within the department.
