Brown University, Warren Alpert Medical School

The Department of Pathology at the Rhode Island Hospital and The Miriam Hospital has established a one-year fellowship program in Gastrointestinal Pathology. The program offers advanced training in GI, pancreatic and liver pathology. A clinical research project will be encouraged. Strong collaborative efforts with the Division of Gastroenterology and the Brown Medical School will provide excellent research opportunities.
Fellowship applicants with a very strong track record in research may apply for an additional 2 year research position. This position is designed for individuals with a deep commitment to an NIH funded career in academic pathology.
The fellow will also be expected to participate in the teaching of residents and fellows in the Department and in the teaching of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine courses.
