Duke GI and Liver Fellowship

Duke offers a busy, academically challenging experience in a supportive environment that fosters learning and professional development. Our goal is to provide a nurturing, high quality, comprehensive and flexible learning experience in all facets of GI/Liver/Pancreas/and related Transplant Surgical Pathology, in both adults and children. An important hallmark of our program is the emphasis on the research and scholarly development of the trainee, facilitated by dedicated faculty mentors who are committed to the strong academic tradition of our section. As the GI/Liver Fellow matures, case sign out privileges may become an option. Duke Surgical Pathology accessions approximately 50,000 specimens a year, and about one quarter of those are GI and Liver cases.
